ALT NRS CEO Alison Byrne OBE said: “This is a significant milestone for Scotland’s Census 2022. Census data is critical to the provision and planning of vital public services and as such it must be produced to high standards. This validation from the Office of the Statistics Regulator is testament to the skilled work carried out by colleagues throughout the census cycle including preparing data for release and sharing it as widely as possible. I am grateful to all who worked on the census within NRS and beyond. An undertaking that involves the whole country takes an enormous effort and we could not do this without partners across a wide range of organisations and communities. We will take the learning from Scotland’s Census 2022 into the new programme for 2031.”
