ALT NOTICE OF PLANNED POWER OUTAGE ALONG CH 17 Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 13), there is a planned power outage along County Highway 16 (17th Avenue) at Sarazin Street in Shakopee. Shakopee Public Utilities (SPU) will be replacing a damaged transformer near this intersection and will need to cut power to the CH 16/Sarazin Street traffic signal to perform the work. County public works staff are coordinating with SPU to replace the signal’s power service cabinet while power is out. The CH 16/Sarazin signal is expected to be taken out of service at 8:30 AM and the outage is anticipated to last three hours. During this time, intersection control will operate as an all-way stop condition. As always, we encourage motorists to drive safely through this area during the outage.
