🍽️ This week on Tuesdays on the Trail, we asked Fishers residents one important question: Where's your favorite local spot to eat, drink, or hang out? From Parks Place Pub, to Four Day Ray, The Well, Hotel Nickel Plate, and more, our community shared some of their go-to favorites along the Nickel Plate Trail. Tell us your favorite Fishers restaurant, coffee shop, brewery, or hidden gem in the comments! 🎶 Then make plans to head to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater tonight for a free Tuesday Night Concert featuring Living Proof.

🚓 Safety doesn't happen by accident. It's built through trust, preparation, and investment in the people who serve our community every day. 📊 According to the 2026 Fishers Community Survey, 98% of residents say they feel safe in their neighborhood both day and night. Residents also gave some of the highest ratings in the nation to our public safety services, including: • 98% positive ratings for police services • 100% positive ratings for fire services 🚒 • 99-100% positive ratings for EMS, crime prevention, and emergency preparedness 👏 These results reflect the dedication of our @Fishers_Police, @FishersFireDept, paramedics, and public safety professionals who work every day to keep Fishers safe, healthy, and prepared.

The Nickel Plate Trail connects more than destinations, it connects our community. Students at Southeastern Media Network are giving us a look at a “Day in the Life,” highlighting local spots and trail features that make Fishers feel like home. 🌳💛

Great job by our Fire Dept. They worked hard to keep damage to a minimum for this Fishers family.
Fishers Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire early this morning after a neighbor noticed smoke and fire coming from the rear of a home and called 911. The family and their pets safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. Crews quickly contained the fire to a sunroom and rear deck, preventing it from spreading further into the home. No injuries were reported. As a reminder, smoke alarms are one of the most important safety devices in your home. Test them regularly and replace them according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Friendly reminder, Fishers: Beginning Monday, officers may issue citations for violations of the City’s updated e-bike, e-scooter, e-moto, bicycle, and trail safety ordinance. The ordinance was adopted to help keep our trails, sidewalks, bike lanes, and roadways safe for everyone who uses them. A few key reminders: -Class 3 E-Bikes are allowed where bicycles are permitted -E-Motos are permitted on roadways only. Riders must be at least 15 with a valid ID. Riders 15-18 must wear a helmet. -All E-Bike, E-Scooter, and E-Moto riders under 18 must wear a helmet. -Reckless riding, unsafe passing, and excessive speed are prohibited As the ordinance takes effect, we encourage everyone to take a few minutes to review the rules before heading out. Most riders are already doing the right thing. Knowing the rules helps ensure everyone can enjoy Fishers’ trails and roadways safely. Our goal remains the same: safe and enjoyable shared spaces for residents, visitors, pedestrians, cyclists, and riders alike.
The Fishers City Council has approved updated regulations for e-bikes, scooters, e-motos, trails, sidewalks, bike lanes, and roadways throughout the city. During this process, we heard feedback from residents, riders, and trail users and changes were made to the ordinance as a result. Updated provisions include: -Class 3 E-Bikes are now permitted anywhere bicycles are allowed -E-motos are restricted to roadways only and are not permitted on trails, sidewalks, or bike lanes -All E-Bike, E-Scooter, and E-Moto riders under 18 must wear a helmet. These updates are intended to improve safety, clarify where devices can operate, and help protect pedestrians and all users of Fishers trails and roadways. Before you ride, make sure you know the rules! Read the new ordinance here: police.fishersin.gov/wp-cont…

Fishers was recently named one of the best places to live in America and our residents are telling us why. According to our latest community survey: - 98% reported a positive overall feeling of safety in Fishers - 99% said they feel safe in their neighborhood at night - 98% rated the quality of Fishers Police services positively These numbers reflect more than statistics, they represent trust, partnership, and a shared commitment to keeping Fishers safe. At Fishers Police Department, we take protecting this community personally. Every arrest, every illegal gun recovered, and every proactive effort to prevent crime is about protecting the people who call Fishers home. We’re proud to serve a community that continues to support and partner with us every day. 💙🚔 #Fishers #FishersPD #PublicSafety #CommunityFirst #BestPlacesToLive #OurCopsOurKidsOurCity

Just days into summer break, FHS rising junior Caden Rose is still hard at work preparing for the final round of the Presidential 1776 Award competition, a highly selective national civics and history program. 🇺🇸 Caden placed in the top four of the Midwest Regional and is the only student from Indiana advancing to nationals. He’ll compete June 9 in Washington, D.C. against 19 students from across the country for scholarships up to $150,000. Watch on CBS June 30 at 8 p.m. 👏 #ExcellenceStartsHere #America250

Awesome!
This morning, HSE hosted its annual SRO Breakfast to thank our School Resource Officers for their dedication to keeping our schools safe. This year also marked the first time an officer was recognized as HSE’s SRO of the Year. We are proud to congratulate Officer Clausius on receiving this honor. Several SROs were nominated, but Officer Clausius stood out to the committee for his ability to connect with students, his willingness to go the extra mile in the classroom, and the positive attitude he brings to work every day.

I know all of you are as glad as I am to have this project done! Appreciate everyone who helped make it happen.
After years of planning, partnership, and construction, the final interchange along the State Road 37 corridor in Fishers is officially open! Mayor @ScottFadness was joined by @GovBraun and Hamilton County Commissioners to cut the ribbon on the new 141st Street & SR 37 grade‑separated roundabout, marking the completion of the City’s portion of the SR 37 Improvement Project. "I’m proud of this project and everyone from our team who made it a reality today. The citizens of Fishers and the thousands of others who drive this corridor daily have a safer, more efficient roadway to experience for the future," said Mayor Fadness. This milestone enhances safety, mobility, and connectivity for everyone who travels the corridor and reflects what can be accomplished through strong regional partnership.
