The debate today was the first time anyone really challenged the legislative premise for all this: the bill changed form so many times it’s never really gotten the public input it deserves. Nobody who knows what they are talking about actually thinks the bill is about safety—(I agree this is an important thing to care about, though!) or names of the athletes getting paid. The objective is hiding how much they spend on football vs baseball or tennis. It’s future proofing. And it is built around taxpayers not knowing what happens to public money. #lalege Should be fine.
