The claim made international headlines. No remains have been confirmed. ⸻ June 2021 The federal government pledged $27 million for radar searches, research, and commemoration. Four years later, most sites have not been excavated. Communities have not agreed to dig. No graves verified. ⸻ Late 2021 Ottawa announced another $320 million in funding. $110 million for searches. $107 million for mental health. $100 million for community buildings. $3 million for a special interlocutor. Provinces added $34.5 million. No exhumations. ⸻ July 2022 Pope Francis visited Canada to apologize for the Church’s role in residential schools. The trip cost taxpayers $55.97 million. No new findings. No remains uncovered. ⸻ 2022 Ottawa committed another $122 million for search support, the interlocutor’s office, and RCMP. Canada has the 7th largest unmined gold reserves, 4th largest oil reserves, 3rd largest forest system, 3rd largest freshwater supply, largest potash reserves, and 6th largest lithium reserves. A resource superpower with the 2nd largest landmass and a population similar to California, there's no reason 25% of Canadians live below the poverty line or why our governments are trillions in debt. Unless it's by design, and we've been hung out to dry by politicians, the central bank, and the monarchy. Canadians should demand better, but we don't. We may be the most propagandized people on the planet.
