Folks, the point of this post was not "loyalists are the only people in NI to have ever rioted".
But rather, when it comes to riots in NI on the grounds of race, religion or origin, overwhelmingly loyalists are the common denominator.
Belfast, Ireland:
1926, 1969: Loyalist riots against Catholics.
2001: Loyalist riots against Catholic children.
2021: Loyalist riots over NI Protocol.
2024: Loyalist riots over Southport stabbings.
2025/26: Loyalist riots over immigration.
What could the common denominator be?
