Last week, YAF honored the memory of the heroes of the D-Day landings by sending some of our best and brightest students to Normandy with Lt. Col. @AllenWest.
The students visited Pointe Du Hoc, each D-Day landing beach, the Normandy American Cemetery, Sainte Mere-Église, “Dead Man’s Corner,” Pegasus Bridge, and several other notable D-Day locations. Several students also met 102-year-old fighter pilot Jimmy Stark, a World War II veteran who returned to Normandy for the ceremony at the American cemetery.

Communism and democratic socialism are barriers to freedom. Today, we need to tear down these walls - even in our own country.
39 years ago today, President Reagan stood at the Brandenburg Gate and called on the Soviets to tear down the Berlin Wall and take the first step toward bringing freedom to Eastern Europe.
Today, as always, YAF still advances ideas of individual freedom, free enterprise, and limited government. As President Reagan always said, we must never forget that freedom is a fragile thing, and it is never more than one generation away from extinction.
