I'm confused. I understand that the Supreme Court in the past has said that the Senate and House can make their own rules as to how they operate, but does that mean they can make rules that void elections? That is exactly what the filibuster rule does.

The Senate could have 59 Republicans but those duly elected Senators can not pass legislation because of the filibuster rule requiring 60 votes to move legislation. This IS VOIDING the election. The vote of those 9 Republicans has been cancelled. It's not in our Constitution!
