I have an apprentice swarm catcher !! "Spike the cat" who is sort of interested but not enough to get too involved. I shall get him a bee suit if he signs up.

Tell me you have no idea how to keep bees, without actually telling me you keep bees !! - This is going to be a logistical nightmare !

If you are near Bermondsey, you can check out the observation hive I made along with a colony of honey bees, now installed in the Hiver Tap room.

All present and correct, no losses over winter. - Starting to look like spring is thinking about making an appearance. - All hives are active.

Had my visit from DEFRA today. Bee Inspection. - All passed with no issues There was a disease outbreak in the area, luckily my bees seem to have avoided it.

Quick 30 mins out in the cold... managed to get a shot of Jupiter. There was a bit of haze and the scope started to get condensation. Got a few cloud bands though. 6 inch Scope, with about 200 frames stacked.

You know it's got bad when ancestry are offering you "hints" on your own entry in the family tree !!
