Localizers intentionally treat Japanese as though it's some incomprehensible language that's impossible to translate faithfully in order to justify the unnecessary changes they make to Japanese media. If that were true, only native speakers would ever truly be able to understand the language & communication across cultures wouldn't be possible. This is obviously not the case since translators are used for live interviews, politics, medical texts, business meetings, etc. where accuracy is paramount for understanding the contents across languages or else serious misunderstandings & errors would occur. Faithful translation is possible & preferable, let Japanese media shine as it was written.

Japan will unfortunately have to look forward to much more of this behavior if they continue to allow the African menace (and all third-worlders) into their homeland. There's no reason for localizers to agonize over what a specific character might say, because the original script is right there to provide all of the dialogue. Just translate it faithfully; this is not the impossible ask that it is treated as. It's all that is required.

Look, whether one enjoys this remake project or not, the games are definitely not "true to the original" Final Fantasy VII due to the deviations they made from the original story. It's already been announced that Bone Village is removed from part 3. There's just no need for Square Enix to say this when it's obviously not true. The audience is already split on this, anyone open to the new path the remakes have taken is likely already in until the end at this point.

There are a lot of pseudo-enlightened "the overlords are just trying to divide us" takes going around recently in light of the Karmelo Anthony case. The only reason the "overlords" have something to work with in the first place is because of a problem that has always existed. Are there "powerful" people stoking the flames from above? Sure. Does that mean that the battle isn't real? Absolutely not. Even if some people were propagandized into hating you, they are not only committing an overwhelming amount of crime in proportion to their population size, but even the ones who aren't doing it are excusing, justifying, & celebrating your death. If anything, the propaganda only exacerbated very real tensions. They're easily controlled because, by & large, they don't have the mental capacity to understand anything beyond their base impulses. Their way of life & values are incompatible with ours. There is no uniting with that & nor should we have to "unite" with people who are ultimately proud to be your enemy. They aren't forced to act like this, they'll just use any excuse to do it.
