At least twice the @FCC has referred to reforming a fictional law: the National Environmental Protection Act. It's the National Environmental *Policy* Act. #FactCheck #copyedit #GOOGL, @DOGE staff cuts?

Nvidia just released a $249 computer that will change AI forever. It's called the Jetson Nano - a tiny device that can run AI models locally. This means AI can run without connecting to the cloud. And it's about to spark the biggest tech battle of our time:
Community note
This is referencing the Jetson Orin Nano, released earlier this week, not the Jetson Nano, which was released in 2019. The Jetson Orin Nano has 140x the performance of the Jetson Nano. developer.nvidia.com/embedded/jetso….

Seems worth exploring

Clearly someone needs to try this at scale – pick 1000 published scientific papers at random, ask o1 or o1-pro to look for errors, and see what turns up. I'm going to give it a shot. Anyone interested in helping out? (Incidentally, h/t @gibbnicholas for also noticing that o1-pro can spot the math error in the black plastics paper: x.com/gibbnicholas/status/18…)

Given the hourly rate, it looks like this @Forbes gig is a case where they don't expect the reporter to know a lot about the beat.

A year ago, @robpegoraro busted myths around "shrink" (lost and stolen products) at retail in his @worthmag article. Today, @Bloomberg caught onto that in very interesting piece (Retailers Locked Up Their Products—and Broke Shopping in America). worth.com/how-urban-retail-c…

I'd like to see @FastCompany - and other publications - better label opinion pieces. The tiny "POV" in gray text after the dateline was hard to even notice. Controversy over how quote was presented also didn't help.
Hey @FastCompany, it isn't ethical to fabricate quotes by taking two difference sentences from two different parts of an hour-long talk, placing them next to each other, and putting the whole shebang in a quote block that means the opposite of what I actually said.

Are there any conservative/libertarian/just not-progressive tech workers left? I suspect so, but they are hard to find. Fast Company would like to hear from you. DM's anonymous. Thanks!

I'd like your opinion: Does congratulating on an "extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory" indicate a preference for Trump over Harris, and not just standard well-wishing for whoever won? Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned "decisive victory" on Threads.

Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.
