The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

A lot of people think learning to code is only useful for building software, but thatβs not true.
Programming also develops analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, a broader technical perspective, understanding trade-offs between technologies, architecture, and so on.
Someone who has never coded hasnβt gone through the process that builds those skills.
After seeing Claude Fable's results
I think learning coding is a waste of time

Claude Mythos 5 is finally here π
Anthropic just introduced its new frontier model family: Mythos 5 and Fable 5.
Pricing:
β’ $10 / million input tokens
β’ $5 / million output tokens
Fable 5 sits in the same category as Mythos: extremely powerful, state-of-the-art across most benchmarks, but safety-limited for general use.
Mythos, on the other hand, will remain the uncapped version, including for areas like cybersecurity, and will only be available to a limited group through the Glasswing initiative.
Are any of you thinking about switching back to Claude after this?
