Don’t trust every media analyst you see or read who invokes #bodylanguage. There’s a lot of great information a person can get from nonverbals, but you have to be careful.
At the Athens Olympic and Paralympic Games, we captured 4,800 photos of athletes from 23 countries. We found that the blind and sighted athletes produced the exact same facial expression, firing the exact same muscles at exactly the same time in similar situations.
Sounds like a solid rule. If someone needs an answer right now, they are either poorly prepared or they deliberately try to put pressure on you. Neither are very appealing to me.
After a few errors myself, my rule is: If someone needs an answer right now, the answer is always NO. They learn this lesson real fast.
Another example: athletes are convinced to give power of attorney to advisors, which means they do not control their money.

I played 20 years in the NHL.
I was one of the highest earning NHL players of all time. And friends with many other pro athletes.
My guess is more than 50% of pro athletes have financial issues in retirement.
Research on zoom fatigue basically tells us what autistic people have been saying forever: human interaction is largely based on nonverbal communication and it becomes exhausting very quickly when you don't have access to these/don't understand them
