Climate change is threatening the phytoplankton that underpins the marine food chain. We must understand why before it's too late. Help collect essential data by taking part in this vital citizen science study. secchidisk.orgvimeo.com/secchidisk/secchi-…
Phytoplankton produce over 50% of Earth’s photosynthesis and support the entire marine food chain, but #ClimateChange is causing alarming declines. 🌿📉
Help scientists collect vital ocean data with the global @SecchiApp Study.

Today, the SecchiDisk.org#CitSci phytoplankton study begins its 14th year. It is now the World's largest marine #CitSci study in global extent. Take part, collect important data and help the Study continue to grow @natgeo@NoonsiteEditor@ybw
12 years ago I started the SecchiDisk.org study to engage seafarers to collect data on the phytoplankton. Today, we start year 13. It is now the longest-running and most spatially, extensive marine citizen science study of the sea's most important life. Join everyone taking part and collect data for the Study. This is also a birthday appeal. The Study's independent growth has been achieved without any institutional funding. If you are a CEO or director of a company and you feel aligned with our goals in wanting to engage citizens in environmental science and life-long learning, please get in touch. Together, we can go so much further.
Today, it's the secchidisk.org study's 12 birthday. The world's longest running and most spatially extensive citizen science study of the phytoplankton. If you love the ocean and got to sea, JOIN IN as we begin year 13. facebook.com/secchidisk#MyXAnniversary
