I was treated to a performance of The Tempest at school today. It is fantastic to see pupils of all abilities and needs embracing Shakespeare. 🤩

We need trauma informed care & trauma responsive education. If we embedded these practices into our educational settings, it would help us understand our young people's behaviours better to help create transformation, hope & healing.🧠🌱

Really proud leadership moment today. Wandered in to an ECTs class and it was fantastic. Pupils needs were being met. All work had been adapted appropriately. Aspirational. Dysregulated child was being supported in a caring, compassionate and skilled way. 😊

School- term Holidays!!
Just give all parents/carers the right to take one week, just one week, at any time of the year except exam time - let the school decide on that - and much of the problem would disappear overnight.
The kids would not suffer one jot.
