Introducing @syncd_collect, our new social collector app for trading cards.
I often describe it as Robinhood meets Tinder for TCGs.
The app just launched on iOS (Google Play coming soon).
Right now you can:
- Scan or manually add your favorite TCGs (@vibes_tcg, @ONEPIECE_tcg_EN , @playriftbound , @Pokemon , more coming)
- Track sealed, raw, and graded cards in your inventory - Build and manage your wishlist
- See a clean, financial-style breakdown of your collection’s value on the home screen
The “Robinhood” side is the portfolio experience, treating your collection like the asset class it is.
And the “Tinder” side? That’s coming next.
We’ll be rolling out matching deal discovery, so you can connect with collectors who have what you want and want what you have. Think swipe-style discovery for trades and smart deal matching.

🚫 Did you know Kadabra cards were banned for 20 years because of a $ 100M lawsuit?🚫
The trigger was this JP Dark Kadabra card (JP: わるいユンゲラー / "Bad Yungerer"). Illusionist Uri Geller sued Nintendo, claiming "Yungerer" was a theft of his persona and a "dark/evil" portrayal.
To dodge the legal heat, Nintendo stopped printing Kadabra entirely. They even gave Abra a special ability to skip its evolution and go straight to Alakazam. In some sets, Alakazam was even introduced as a basic Pokémon card.
After 20 years and countless pleas from fans, Geller finally apologized and withdrew the lawsuit in 2020 - citing his granddaughters being the reason he changed his mind 👏

The Pikachu Wearing Batik card is an Indonesia-exclusive promo created to celebrate the country’s rich batik heritage. There are five versions in total, with the green variant also having a foil and featuring Pokéballs within the batik pattern.
Batik holds deep cultural meaning in Indonesia. Each pattern is traditionally handmade and tells a story of identity, philosophy, and craftsmanship passed down through generations. In 2009, Indonesian batik was officially recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Prices have already doubled since last year, drawing even more attention from Pikachu fans and rare card collectors.

Logan Paul's 1998 Pikachu Illustrator PSA 10 was just sold for a whopping $16.49M via @GoldinCo - setting a new Guiness World Record for the most expensive trading card sale in history!
The auction had been running for 42 days and was extended by a last-minute bidding war, pushing the bid from $6.8M to the final price of $16.49M in the last hours.
The winner of the Pikachu Illustrator is A.J. Scaramucci, founder of Solari Capital, who was in the studio with Logan Paul when the bid ended.
