Let’s not whine ourselves, Kane belongs to the Suarez, Lewandowski, Benzema debate. Kane has one of the best individual résumés despite not much trophies to back it up. But individually, they have nothing on him.
Over 490 career goals, England’s all-time top scorer, World Cup Golden Boot, 3 Premier League Golden Boots, Bundesliga top scorer, European Golden Shoe, multiple PFA Team of the Year appearances on pure individual level, he’s right there with them, or even better.
But football is cruel. For years the only thing missing was silverware, and that gap shaped the entire narrative around him. It almost made people underrate just how complete he is as a striker.
Because if you strip trophies away and just judge the player? Kane is one of the best forwards this generation has seen elite finisher, elite playmaker, elite consistency.
He’s one Champions League or one World Cup with England or One Balon D’or away from overtaking all of them . That will completely change how history talks about him completely. That’s how fine the margins are.
