NEW: For two straight years, bipartisan congressional majorities have backed requiring healthcare coverage for military families' fertility treatments. Still, House conservatives managed to delete that provision from the final NDAA both years. Now the conservative pushback has begun earlier. The Senate Armed Services Committee reversed itself this week and is now opposing the coverage--which members of Congress enjoy. NEWS: In a complete reversal, Senate Republicans threw out my bill that would cover IVF for our servicemembers in the next defense bill. They supported it last year. And the year before. But this year, they chose to betray our heroes who dream of having a family. Outrageous.

Yesterday, the Senate Armed Services Committee cleared the next defense authorization bill. I voted no. Trump continues to threaten strikes and operations that require ground troops. Two of our pilots were shot down. The Strait remains blocked. And families cannot afford gas or groceries. This is not the time to hand a wanna-be dictator a $1.5 trillion blank check to continue abusing our military however he wants.

Take Trump at his word. He loves that you're paying more for everything.

Insist elections are rigged despite zero evidence, silence the press... and find an excuse to deploy our military around election season to intimidate voters. This is the authoritarian playbook.

It's day 100 of Trump's illegal war in Iran. 100 days spent putting our troops' lives in danger. 100 days without an end game. 100 days too many. It's past time for this war of choice to come to an end.

Huge news if you love meritocracy. Our transgender servicemembers earned their roles in our military, making us more lethal and prepared to defend America from her enemies. And that's something Hegseth can't say.

Of all the things our men and women in uniform put up with in the middle of a war... Being used to stroke Trump's ego at his ridiculous UFC birthday party should not be on that list.

Pete Hegseth—who never ranked higher than Major—is once again ignoring Generals' recommendations and denying merit-based promotions. For all his bluster about bringing meritocracy back to our military, this unqualified SecDef keeps doing the opposite. An insult to our troops.

I just watched Hegseth’s speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. Let’s be clear about what the Trump Administration’s “Peace Through Strength” has looked like.
