President Trump has made an excellent choice in nominating Jay Clayton as Director of National Intelligence. I know him very well and can say firsthand that his experience leading the SEC and serving as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York makes him uniquely qualified for this critical role. This is someone who understands both the legal and law enforcement sides of the job. The Senate should move quickly and confirm him.

Billy Schmidt’s death is a tragedy. No family should have to endure this kind of pain, and no young person should lose their life over something so senseless. Praying for Billy’s family and friends as they grieve this unimaginable loss.
