I was so thrilled to sit down with CASA Project Worcester County's executive team, Julie Bowditch and Krissie Shaw, on my podcast Moore Than Politics to discuss CASA Project's work and what they do for children in the juvenile court system!

Today's Veterans Inc. Stand Down event in Worcester was an incredible opportunity for Central Mass Veterans to find resources available to them. Service providers, healthcare organizations, employers, and community partners came together to offer help to Veterans who need it.
Mark your calendars: sales tax-free weekend is set for August 8th and 9th! This annual tradition will give Bay Staters the opportunity to make most purchases under $2,500 without being subject to the Commonwealth's typical 6.25% sales tax.
Such a pleasure to join the Realtor Association of Central MA last night to honor their Chief Executive Officer, Colleen Pappas! Colleen has served the Association for 40 years, making a lasting impact and helping expand homeownership throughout the region.
It is such an honor to be included on the @WBJournal's 2026 Power 100 list.
While I'm thrilled to be on this list, I’d like to recognize why: you. The work that I do each and every day is on behalf of you, the people of the Second Worcester District.

The real power of this job lies in your hands — telling me your stories, sharing your knowledge, or inspiring me to fight for an important issue. It is of course an honor to be on this list, but nothing compares to the honor of having your trust to be your voice on Beacon Hill.
I’d like to congratulate all of the remarkable individuals who appear on this year’s list, and thank the WBJ for this recognition. But I’d also like to thank my constituents — we’ve gotten so much done together, and I’m looking forward to continuing our work together.
Transparency is at the cornerstone of a democracy that is of, by, and for the people. That’s why I’m thrilled to share that the MA Senate last week voted to fully comply with the audit approved by voters in 2024, turning over documents to the Auditor as directed by the SJC.
I have long been in support of the audit – in fact, Auditor DiZoglio was my very first guest on my podcast Moore Than Politics – because I strongly believe that governing effectively means gaining & keeping the trust of the people you represent, whether they voted for you or not.
Unlike the House, which recently passed a bill limiting the scope of the audit, the Senate is doing exactly what the Court & the voters have asked. I’m hopeful that the House will soon reverse so that voters can get a full picture of how Beacon Hill spends taxpayer dollars.
The City of Worcester came together to honor a true legend – renaming the street in front of Friendly House after the man who led it for more than 60 years. Under Gordon Hargrove's leadership, Friendly House has served as a resource for all of Worcester, helping countless people.
Though he retired in 2022, Gordon's legacy will live on both in the programs he built and now in the street that will bear his name. Thank you for all you have done, Gordon!
I sat down for a coffee this morning with Worcester Education Collaborative's new Executive Director, Dr. Jennifer Herring, to discuss the state of public education in Worcester and how we can bring together voices from across the city to build a better WPS.
Such a pleasure to celebrate the Appalachian Mountain Club's 150th with its Worcester Chapter Trailsfest! Rep Donaghue & I joined members and local leaders to mark the occasion and to thank the individuals of AMC who have spent the last 150 years protecting the great outdoors.
Worcester Fire Department celebrated the graduation of its class of 22 recruits on Friday, and I was there with @MayorJoePetty and other local leaders to offer our congratulations & thank them for choosing a path of public service.
Congrats to Worcester Fire Class 2026-1!
Hank Stolz and Ben White, hosts of @CommonTalkPod on Radio Worcester, joined me on my podcast Moore Than Politics to discuss the changing media landscape and the state of local news.

Nearly 130 people are shot every single day in America. I'm wearing orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day because too many lives are cut short or permanently changed by the misuse of firearms.
Everyone deserves to feel safe in MA.
We do not have to choose between safe communities and responsible gun ownership – we can reduce gun violence rates with simple, common-sense steps like safe storage laws, gun safety training, and reasonable regulations.
Today, Auburn broke ground on its new Fire/Rescue Headquarters building on Route 20! My District Director Doreen was there to celebrate with the community on the start of this incredible public works project, which will replace Auburn Fire's current aging home.
Shrewsbury Police are set to receive $150,000 to purchase a police boat thanks to an earmark I secured in the FY27 budget! As one of three communities on Lake Quinsigamond, this will allow the town to better patrol the waters.
