In this second post Reconstruction era of backlash against civil and human rights, voter suppression is only the beginning. But hear this all who believe we live in a post racial world, this decision, the SAVE Act, Project 2025, and the debacle and sham being played out on the national stage clearly show that we do not. The fear of equality, justice and inclusion is real. I not only dissent, I will not accept these attacks on democracy without a fight.

I am truly heartbroken and sad about the news regarding Justin and Cerina Fairfax. Two young people have lost their parents in the most horrific manner imaginable. What they do not need is a social media frenzy rehashing old stories, rumors and innuendo about their parents’ personal lives, etc. I know that haters are going to hate, but then you’re not godly people anyway. The family needs compassion and love. What would Jesus do?
