Pleased to be in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump as he signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law.
I worked with President Trump on this bill that delivers real results for South Dakota and our servicemembers, including a well-deserved pay raise for our troops and the authorization of funding for construction projects at Ellsworth Air Force Base as we prepare for the B-21 Raider stealth bomber.
We will keep working for South Dakota and for the men and women who defend America every day. 🇺🇸

I recently got to meet South Dakota State students participating in the NASA Gateways to Blue Skies Challenge. Out of just eight teams nationally invited to the finals, three teams came from SDSU and one team brought home the national championship!
Congratulations to these students on an incredible accomplishment and for continuing to showcase South Dakota’s leadership in science, research and innovation.
This morning, the Senate is beginning to vote on a reconciliation bill to continue funding for ICE and border patrol. While we wish this could have been funded through regular order appropriations, our Democrat colleagues have refused to fund these agencies. This bill will fund these two agencies for the rest of President Trump’s term.
