The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party president, Jacob Zuma, says that the dispossession of land during apartheid is the root cause of poverty among black South Africans.
The former Statesman who broke away from the ANC party and formed MK party, addressed hundreds of supporters on the Cape Flats in Cape Town yesterday.
This formed part of the MK party's mobilisation in the Western Cape province ahead of the voter registration weekend. Zuma has called on black South Africans to use the ballot box to address historical land imbalances.
