FWIW, there is a story -- a positive one -- about crime and Balt City in our new UMBC Poll numbers. I looked back at the polling I did for the @BaltimoreBanner in 2023/2024 & compared to our new UMBC Poll. Perceptions of crime in the city have changed:

It should have started a long time ago when you started promoting right-wing grifter Nick Shirley. Your credibility was lost long before now. Too little too late.
Please read. Accountability starts with me.

We tried to tell y’all.
Armed masked man starts fight at high school ICE protest—turns out to be off duty police sergeant. His plan was to trick students to "assault me"—then "arrest them all." Then called his buddies with rifles to "back him up." Sgt. Dusten Mullen makes $336,000 a year—making him a top 10 earner in the Phoenix Police Department. He is currently on administrative leave—which means he's reassigned to work from home. Incident occurred outside Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

Nothing screams fair and independent reporting like @WeAreSinclair hiring Republican operatives as “reporters.”

In Cambridge, Maryland....
Homeowner waits until construction job is nearly done—then calls ICE on 6 of her own workers. Woman even provides the ladder used by agent to detain men—who she owes $10,000 for 3 day job. "She called the damn law on us and now we're totally screwed!" men yell in Spanish. "They surrounded us!—They surrounded us!" Agents even left behind the workers' van with doors wide open—filled with thousands of dollars worth of tools. The arrest was broadcast live for about 30 minutes by a co-worker—identified as Bryan Polanco. "Seeing it is not the same as experiencing it," he explains. "I’ve seen many videos, and sadly today I had to experience it." At the end of the video he gets the woman who called ICE on camera: "It is the same woman. Tidying up the house, and still with hatred in her heart." The incident occurred in Cambridge, Maryland.

Congratulations to Baltimore on historic public safety progress. Homicides are down 31% last year and 59% over five years. In 2025, the city recorded its fewest homicides in 50 years.

Randy Fine doesn't represent me or any decent Jew and should remove his kippah. I'm not telling any Jew how to observe their faith—personal practice is sacred and private. Full stop. However, since Randy Fine himself says that he isn’t an observing Jew but puts on a kippah to make a statement, then we must call it out. He puts it on when he's spewing Islamophobic sewage, demanding more fear of Muslims, demonizing other faiths, or gloating over harm. Kippahs aren't bigotry capes. It's not a prop for Venom. It's supposed to remind you that God sees the filth you're peddling. Take it off and stop pretending you're anything but a hate-peddling disgrace. Jews everywhere: Let's make it clear—RANDY FINE DOES NOT SPEAK FOR US.

Fact check: The total for meals was actually $801,000, not $1 million. That total is for all home games over three years, AND includes money spent for meals outside of Ravens games, including office parties, events and even funerals. The money was spent only at local restaurants. Mayor Scott has reduced crime in Baltimore by 60%. Give the man his damn crab legs and stop lying on him.
