1/ I'm happy to announce my new company @BuildServerless, which helps organizations behind the curve get their infrastructure up to speed with the help of #serverless on #AWS. Expect a lot of hands-on resources this year for making these #digitaltransformations a reality.

A good place to donate for those looking to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey. #TurkeySyriaEarthquake
Turkey still needs help. It’s freezing cold winter in the disaster region of around 10M population. How you can help? You can donate to this non-profit organization I trust: ahbap.org/bagisci-ol. It’s in Turkish but it has USD IBAN.

1/ I'm looking to update my course recommendations for 2023. #serverless community and #awscommunitybuilders, who has great content and courses for devs either starting their engineering career with serverless or looking to retool themselves as serverless engineers?

1/ @dabit3 This is really neat! I recently led a tour to Nepal in October and have another two planned for later this year so I thought I'd see what the recommendations would be. Overall, pretty impressed, you'd have a great time if you visited these places.

2/ However, the logistics of getting from some of these locations could prove to be at a breakneck pace, but fitting these 10 days into a 14-day travel itinerary is certainly palatable. This is easily a 10/10 tool for travel planning!

Some great insight from @Fra_Pochetti happening right now about how to crack into the Data Science industry. I love hearing his story. Thank you @BandoloCyril for hosting these!

Watch this if you want to learn about auth -- @OrWeis taught me a ton.
We had a great time hangin' w/ @software_daily! 💜 In this clip, @OrWeis discusses Permit Elements and why it's one of his favorite features. You can listen to the full conversation with @alexbdebrie here: softwareengineeringdaily.com…

Replying to @julian_wood
@julian_wood and Richard Davison are explaining the SnapStart feature for AWS Lambda functions running Java. This feature significantly reduces cold starts for Java in a Lambda function. -> twitch.tv/aws

Very good stuff here, and relevant to some of the serverless-ish data stores we're seeing. You can retrofit some better management autoscaling on existing databases, but truly serverless databases need to be designed built that way from the ground up.

It’s been a wild experience going straight from Nepal to Vegas for #reInvent2022 only after 1 week but I wouldn’t have it any other way because I get to spend quality time with the team and old friends! Thanks @awscloud for putting #reInvent on for us.
