I have officially completed my greenskeeper internship at Shoreacres Golf Club in Lake Bluff, Illinois! I gained lots of valuable knowledge this summer, and I would like to thanks the management, other interns, and crew for that. I can't wait to see what the school year beholds!

This past week also included the first of many baseball games for the Fayetteville Recreation League, which I am a Volunteer Assistant Coach for. I am excited for the upcoming season, Go Guardians!

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Arkansas State FFA Turfgrass CDE. It was great to see many High School Students from the State of Arkansas be able to compete in such a well run competition!

I had a great week at the annual GCSAA conference in San Diego! I had the privilege of competing in the Turf Bowl, made many connections, and got to explore the trade show. Big thanks to the Mississippi Valley GCSA for supporting us!

Congratulations to Horticulture student Hayden Hawthorne for being awarded the Arkansas Turfgrass Association Outstanding Intern Scholarship. Hawthorne was awarded recently at the 2025 ATA Conference.
Hayden is an extremely hard worker, and this award is well deserved.
