Winning the opener in such a big way (most goals the #USMNT have scored in a World Cup game) is huge.
More Americans are going to be tuning in now. The U.S. are almost certainly guaranteed a knockout game.

-US (65% possession) showed they can build an attack. Centerbacks are part of that.
-Pulisic, McKennie, Reyna, others thrived. This is why they’ve been called the Golden Generation

In the fall I went to Monaco to talk to #USMNT striker Folarin Balogun. He discussed his interpretation of the position as a former winger as well as his connection on the pitch with Christian Pulisic, which has been under scrutiny recently.
Balo has been brilliant tonight. Breakout big game for him and the entire US attack, which looked very much in sync.
