A more personal note, I have started a little project I am dubbing “The Muni Project” (
@themuniproject). The core values are etiquette, architecture, accessible golf, and unconventional ideas that will push the game forward. I have gotten quite a few questions about what the end goal is for The Muni Project, and that is still a work in progress.
What I can say is that I am a true golf degenerate, I care about the game, its architecture, and all it can provide to those who play it. I don’t believe shrinking the game is how we best move the game of golf forward. I believe it starts with getting back to the basics. I’m passionate about unconventional architecture and phenomenal courses everyone can play.
I have been a proponent of unconventional golf for some time, I don’t think we need to have 18 holes or need 600 acres for one course. I truly believe we grow the game by thinking outside the box, building courses that are suitable for all ages and abilities, and getting back to the basics. Golf isn’t cheap, we shouldn’t be making it more expensive than it needs to be by moving dirt all over the place.
Excited to share some quintessential golf road trips I have planned and have been on recently. At this point, all photos are mine, but I’m going to run out of them fast, so let me know if you want to be apart of the movement.
Excited for what’s to come.
