Big mallet with a late 3 run homer in the top of the 9th
Interesting development here at @usopengolf. Patrick Cantlay rolling a @TaylorMadeGolf Spider Tour X. Looks like a major equipment switch for a man that rarely changes his clubs.

I have been playing the ProV1x Left Dash, but have noticed after what feels like a few holes the ball is scuffed and scratched. Anyone else having this issue? Or a recommendation to a ball they are using? Difficult to play a full round with one ball when it’s significantly scuffed after one bunker shot or 4 holes.
Put some work into the Ball Guide this weekend. Lineups separated by cover type. Sort by spin. Sort by feel. What else would you like to see?

Google earth still shows Mississippi Dunes, closed a few years ago but the layout actually looks decent. Never played it, what was the issue?

A more personal note, I have started a little project I am dubbing “The Muni Project” (@themuniproject). The core values are etiquette, architecture, accessible golf, and unconventional ideas that will push the game forward. I have gotten quite a few questions about what the end goal is for The Muni Project, and that is still a work in progress. What I can say is that I am a true golf degenerate, I care about the game, its architecture, and all it can provide to those who play it. I don’t believe shrinking the game is how we best move the game of golf forward. I believe it starts with getting back to the basics. I’m passionate about unconventional architecture and phenomenal courses everyone can play. I have been a proponent of unconventional golf for some time, I don’t think we need to have 18 holes or need 600 acres for one course. I truly believe we grow the game by thinking outside the box, building courses that are suitable for all ages and abilities, and getting back to the basics. Golf isn’t cheap, we shouldn’t be making it more expensive than it needs to be by moving dirt all over the place. Excited to share some quintessential golf road trips I have planned and have been on recently. At this point, all photos are mine, but I’m going to run out of them fast, so let me know if you want to be apart of the movement. Excited for what’s to come.

Does Highland National have the best 18th hole patio (public) in the Twin Cities? Also love their clubhouse. Great spot already but so much potential here.
