.@AdyBarkan β€” The courage you show every day is an inspiration to so many, and I'm grateful to have you by my side in this fight. We may not agree on everything, but this we do: Health care is a right β€” not a privilege. And we're going to make that a reality, together.

Teachers are paying out of pocket for school supplies, yet police are given extra tanks. Budgets convey priorities. We should question ours.

Powerful truth and clarity!
My husband & I have been raising kids for 27 years. Our eldest came to us when he was almost 3. His mom OD’d & his dad went to jail. There was no one to take care of this little boy, so we did. When you discriminate against LGBTQ couples, you deprive kids like mine of good homes.

I just received a call from @VP Mike Pence, thanking Washington state for our efforts to combat the coronavirus. I told him our work would be more successful if the Trump administration stuck to the science and told the truth.

If u still support Biden after he said he would consider a Republican VP, I have no words...this is insanity. It is based on ignorance about what motivates voters and why they voted for Trump. It was NOT for bipartisanship. They will not reward you for this Joe...retire now

When this player's hijab started falling off to reveal her hair, her opponents gathered around to provide cover while she fixed it. This is our mood today. When one of us needs us: We stop. We huddle up. We protect each other. I love the soccer. I love women. G

We can popularize the stories of restorative practices and policies. What are the powerful advantages of making right that which has caused harm? Do we understand the benefits?#healingjustice
Q6: How can restorative practices be used to shift the way we address crime and violence in our communities to produce safer, healthier, thriving communities for all? #healingjustice

Children of color, poor children, those with the least emotional and financial resources are the β€œproblem”. They are the troublemakers and must be controlled. This is not healing. These children are set up to be marginalized in this society & must be removed. #healingjustice

A few years ago prison planning was determined in part by primary school reading scores.

I have watched so many other children of color be traumatized in schools by those in authority. The children who need the most support are often ignored, marginalized, and/or punished. #Healing justice

My mostly black middle & high school in St. Louis, MO had 2x more police officers than counselors. Police did random locker checks. STL County (suburban, mostly white) schools didn't have similar police presence or policies. Why? -> School to prison pipeline Racism
