We just published a Next.js starter for RetainDB. It gives you an AI chat app with persistent memory out of the box — built with Next.js 15, the Vercel AI SDK, and RetainDB. You can tell the assistant something, come back in a new session, and it still remembers. The part I like most is how little code it takes. Wrap your model with `withRetainDB(...)`, pass a `userId`, and it handles retrieval memory storage for you. If you’re building AI products and don’t want “stateless assistant” behavior by default, this is a good place to start.
