Do you want to chat about the future of Shandon? An exciting new project is underway to develop a heritage led Integrated Urban Strategy for the area, which is funded under Strand 1 of the Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme (THRIVE) from the @SouthernAssembl and @DeptHousingIRL. Cork City Council and its local community partners welcome everybody to our first consultation event ‘Let’s Talk Shandon’ which will be held in the Firkin Crane on Saturday 17th August from 10am to 5pm. All are welcome to come along and tell us everything they love about Shandon. This is an opportunity for you to share your views and help us shape the future of Shandon by telling us what you love, what the area needs more of and what it needs less of, your likes and dislikes about living, working, visiting and growing up in the area and the opportunities you believe there are to enhance this wonderful neighbourhood. This model of the @ShandonBells #Cork was made by father’s grand uncle. For years, the iconic goldie fish was missing but with a little perseverance & ingenuity I managed to replace it today! 🥳 I hope Uncle Bobby is smiling down.
