Marine debris is a huge problems for all marine life, including sharks. Divers were able to remove this line from this silky shark, but most animals are not so lucky.

Mobula rays found entangled in ghost gear in the Sea of Cortez. Alive vs Dead - Left ray released with severe laceration wounds - Right ray found dead on arrival.
Several other dead mobulas were in the net
