Hereโs another one. MH-60R for HSM-41 Seahawks (yea thatโs their name) ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ sadly this aircraft crashed in the ocean in 2024 but the crew all survived! They eventually pulled the airframe out of the water. The sqd saved part of the stab I painted and it hangs in the chiefs break room at NAS North Island. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

MH-60S BUNO 168578 I painted in 2016. She was one of the most photographed helicopters ever. She survived almost 6 years before being repainted. Not even sure where this bird is now.

How about some Marine helicopter love. Fresh photos this week of my HMLA-775 Coyotes AH-1Z Viper taken by Ned Dawson for @HeliOpsMagazine his photos are always top notch! Taken near MCAS Camp Pendleton this week. And it wouldnโt be complete without the amazing UH-1Y Huey. Dave and I painted the Coyote last year.

Beautiful shots of KC-135R 59-1471 from WA ANG Fairchild AFB, that I helped paint 2 years ago. Taken in Germany by Bavarian Aviation.
This is one of the only guard units that do not own their planes, they are loaned from the AF. When we were painting it they were hoping it would stay at least 6 months before big AF would want it repainted. Great to see itโs still flying! Also I painted the nose art. Sadly many units now just slap a decal on them, another tradition going away. Even here at March where Iโve painted them here since 1998 for free they told me no thanks they will use a Temu sticker instead. ๐ก

...means 'Calvalry From the Sky' in Latin. Here's the new VMM-161 Greyhawk Osprey.
Super excited to catch it on a local low level, keep scrolling to see both tails, as they are different!
The winged horse is Pegasus, the squadron insignia, and the big 1 signifies that HMM-161 was the very first helicopter squadron in the world, established in 1951 and saw extensive combat duty the Korean War.
The other tail shows the Greek mythology story of Perseus beheading Medusa, and Pegasus rising from Medusa's blood.
