As Mythos / Fable 5 roll out, unaudited DeFi protocols and blockchain projects are effectively sitting ducks. Many projects have been so lazy about OpSec, and I think it's about to show. Good time to revoke token approvals, don't use non-reputable browser extensions, stay safe!

2/3 Running a DeFi protocol or blockchain project with governance that's never been stress-tested during a crisis or exploit? Don't assume consensus will naturally carry your project when everything is on fire. Run governance simulations and implement risk management proactively, before you need them.

3/3 If a single cloud provider, RPC provider, or third-party vendor going down would take your business and services offline, you've got a single point of failure. Audit your dependencies now.

In bull markets, bad or lazy marketing gets hidden by demand and hype. In this market, there is no forgiveness; every leak in your funnel is exposed. If you’re marketing a crypto / SaaS / e-commerce product or service in this market, focus on EFFICIENCY in your conversions. 🫡

Call me a decentralised governance maxi; I love seeing this. This is a sign of mature governance. You might not care about $ADA etc but this here is exactly what decentralised governance is supposed to achieve and preserve. Especially when a project is community funded, the community and broader team outside of elected leadership MUST have a structured way to: - Contribute to the strategic direction of the project - Vote (on-chain!) for proposals that impact the strategic direction and development of the project - Define ownership and roles within the ecosystem Governance that does not protect capital and drive the project forward according to the collective outcome of its votes, is not decentralised. If one person can sway a vote with personal opinions, it is not decentralised. If big sweeping decisions can be made on marketing, budget, leadership/resources or even technical development without input from the voter base? It is not decentralised. From everything I can see about this situation (and I don't follow ADA too closely), this was a very mature decision and the community have offered a counter proposal for events. Good on them. When people say 'oh but decentralised governance doesn't work at scale', I always argue that it does, and it can. And if you don't believe it does; then see that as an opportunity to model it yourself with your project.
🐋 WHALE WATCH: The Cardano community just rejected a 2 million dollar funding proposal. The foundation wanted 7.8 million $ADA for the upcoming summit. The vote hit 65% but missed the required passing threshold. Holders are clearly prioritizing treasury capital over expensive events right now. Do you think more chains should manage funds this strictly ?

Maybe, just maybe, people with no dev experience / technical background shouldn’t be vibe-coding apps or blockchain products that handle real money, NFTs, or digital assets without *at least* an audit.

Experiment with AI? Absolutely. Go for it. Put qualified people in charge to lead experimentation, especially when other people’s money is on the line? Also absolutely.

‼️ BIG NEWS: I took a career break to create space for the next chapter. I wanted to challenge myself. I wanted to join an ambitious team. I wanted to push the limits of everything I know about marketing, systems, and crypto. Why? Because things are changing in this industry. Fast. With that in mind, I’m SO excited to announce I’ve joined @crypto_banter as the new Marketing Operations Manager. What we’re building next is going to be pioneering. Huge. I can’t wait to share more about what’s cooking. I’ve never been more hungry, or more ready, and I’m surrounded by the most ambitious, focused, hungry team ever. Let’s build. 💫

🧵I did a deep dive into the raw data of over 4,100 AI Crypto search results. Here's what many crypto brands are missing.. If you've noticed your social media presence drop, search results tank, or CPC rise; this is for you! Crypto marketing is at a crossroads, and many brands are looking the wrong way or using outdated marketing tactics; and then wondering why nothing is landing with their desired target audiences. Like it or not, AI has honestly rewritten how people search, shop, and decide. This means the old playbook of niche positioning, overly technical jargon, and disruptive-for-the-sake-of-it messaging? It's working against you now. Here's what the data reveals 🧵

🧵3/4 AI is now the trusted advisor between your brand and your customer; the gateway. Query structure has gone fully conversational. People aren't typing keywords anymore, and this has affected SEO. People are asking intelligent, full sentence questions *in search*, like how they'd ask a knowledgeable friend. If your brand messaging isn't built to answer that advisor layer, you won't be discovered.

🧵4/4 Discovery is driven by safety and simplicity; not innovation anymore Across 4,100 queries I studied, the dominant signals were security, ease, and trust. Not disruption. Not technological innovation. The mainstream crypto audience is risk-conscious and more mature now. Crypto brands spent years trying to stand out. The ones winning now are the ones that fit in, seamlessly enough that an AI recommends them, and intuitively enough that a first-time buyer trusts them instantly. Your brand messaging and positioning is your new SEO. Build it accordingly.

It's very bullish for creatives right now. Belief statements aren’t enough anymore; brands have to perform in 2026. There's a huge opportunity to create experiential activations and try new things. If you're building something, it's time to think outside of the box 👌

🧵After working with Bybit's APAC team and some other really great crypto brands over the past few years with events, campaigns, MarOps, ecosystem development and everything in between; I can say this with confidence... The *most effective* marketers think like business owners, not campaign managers or creatives or degens who just 'understand crypto'. What does that actually mean? Let's explore. 📸 Throwback to a really cool event we ran for one of our Australian trading communities with Bybit in Perth! I love these community events 🤍

This is how CMOs and C-suite execs think. And it's how every marketer needs to think and operate moving forward, because this industry is maturing and consolidating quickly. Things are changing. Building the types of systems and processes it takes to achieve good results consistently isn't pretty work, but it's rewarding and builds you one hell of a portfolio. Systems like; - CRM and lead management - Incorporating AI into your workflows, team organisation and operations - Scaling and growth blueprints

These are just a couple of ways to future-proof for the years ahead. Some of the best marketers I know have small followings and quiet profiles, but their work and their portfolios speaks VOLUMES. And their best work always boils down to systems and strategy. The best campaigns and initiatives I've been part of have boiled down to systems and strategy. So if you're building your portfolio right now; get serious about systems and business strategy. You won't regret it it's what every serious project and business is looking for in a team right now. End of thread 🤍
