I just watched priests trying to save crucifixes from a burning monastery. This is what russia is destroying. The Kyiv Lavra is one of the holiest Orthodox sites on earth. A UNESCO World Heritage site. Moscow calls itself “Christian civilisation.” It’s literally barbarism.

Enough is enough. At what point do we stop pretending this is normal? At what point do we stop allowing @realDonaldTrump to insult women, berate women, threaten women, degrade women, and then hide behind power like he is untouchable? He has been doing this his entire life. In business. In politics. In the courts. In the Epstein circle. And now, as president of the United States, he uses the most powerful platform in the world to attack women who speak out, women who stand up, women who dare to tell the truth. Look at what he is doing to E. Jean Carroll. A jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming her — and instead of accountability, he keeps attacking. He keeps trying to intimidate. He keeps using power as a weapon. And that is exactly the point. This is not just about insults. This is about control. He takes away women’s rights. He attacks women’s credibility. He covers up the Epstein files. He protects the powerful men while attacking the women who survived them. He wants women silent. He wants survivors scared. He wants the country numb. I’m asking a simple question: When is enough finally enough? When do we stand together and say no more? No more letting the media normalize it. No more letting politicians excuse it. No more letting powerful men abuse women and then call themselves victims. No more silence. I am calling on this community — women, men, survivors, parents, citizens, everyone with a conscience — to stand together as one voice. Protect women. Believe survivors. Demand the Epstein files. Hold Trump accountable. And stop supporting any media outlet, politician, or platform that continues to sanitize, excuse, or cover for this madness. Because this is not politics anymore. This is about basic decency. This is about right and wrong. This is about whether we are still willing to stand up for the women of this country against a man who has spent his life degrading them. Enough is enough. It is time to stand up. It is time to speak out. It is time to fight back together.

Applebaum: Trump is using a specific language from the 1930s: “enemies within,” “enemies of the people,” migrants and political opponents as “vermin,” migrants “poisoning the blood” of Americans. That language comes from Hitler, Stalin and the Stasi. 1/

In a deliberate act of ecocide, 3yrs ago today russia destroyed the Kakhovka dam, murdering people, causing a minimum of $14 billion in damage, flooding villages and towns, devastating ecosystems, and killing animals. We must not allow russia to whitewash itself.

In the Donetsk region, the Russians are quite simply burning everything alive. Footage of burning phosphorus rain over Kostyantynivka. White phosphorus ignites spontaneously and burns at temperatures exceeding 800°C. If it comes into contact with a human being, it causes deep chemical and thermal burns. Phosphorus is nearly impossible to extinguish with ordinary water; its combustion is accompanied by the release of dense, toxic smoke that instantly sears the respiratory tract. Moreover, the resulting widespread fires and the long-lasting chemical contamination of the soil make this weapon a devastating threat to all living beings in the vicinity of the impact site. Russia is cancer.

This Caolan dude doesn't let up. He doesn't just mention a story and then move on. He puts in the work and does a full investigation. Our American media could learn a thing or two from him. This is an update to the story about Irish Aluminum going to Russia. -----
I’ve been investigating the russian refinery for days now and the story gets darker and darker. The shipments are sent to Siberia, smelted, and sold to the russian company ‘ASK’. This company distributes aluminium directly to Russia’s missile & drone manufacturers.

This is not World War II footage. This is Toretsk, Ukraine — and it’s not as far away as you think. A city that once had over 30,000 residents. Now almost completely erased. There is no excuse for this. None.

Rubio once again complains US-led negotiations between Ukraine and Russia were "unfruitful": "We invested tremendous amount of high-level time in that conflict over last year. Neither side is prepared to make concessions necessary to reach agreement." Once again, it is necessary to point out the obvious: when you have a nation trying to murder its neighbors to steal their land, and people just trying to survive, there is no middle ground. Ukrainians, as the victims of this unprovoked attack, cannot just agree to die under Russian occupation, rot in FSB torture chambers, and be thrown into unmarked mass graves to never be found. We simply want to live. There is zero room for concessions. As for Russia, they can be forced to stop killing us. You could bring them to that breaking point much faster than we can do without you, if you finally stopped this disgusting bothsidesism, stopped endless sanctions waivers, seized their shadow fleet, and armed Ukraine to the teeth.

Yes. TMX is often used as proof that Ottawa blocked Alberta. The record shows the opposite. Ottawa approved TMX in 2016. Private capital stepped back in 2018, well after federal approval was already in place. Canada then bought the project, organized delivery through Trans Mountain Corporation, carried the risk, addressed the legal and consultation delays, corrected the process failures, and delivered Alberta’s pipeline to tidewater. It did so after the 2014 oil-price collapse, in a lower-price era, as climate risk and competing energy technologies became more central to investment decisions. Canada did not block Alberta’s pipeline to tidewater. Canada delivered it.

Ireland’s alleged “military neutrality” is a blatant lie. In the first quarter of 2026, 83 percent of Ireland’s alumina exports went to Russia. This is not a “neutral” economic relationship; it is active complicity in a war of aggression against Ukraine. The Irish government knows this full well. Investigations by The Irish Times, the OCCRP, and others have conclusively traced the supply chain all the way to Russian arms manufacturers. Ireland—once a symbol of independence and moral clarity—has made itself Putin’s useful idiot. While Ukrainian children die, the Irish elite counts profits and votes. This is not neutrality—it is cowardice, greed, and a betrayal of European values.
Every day, ships leave this russian owned factory in Ireland straight for St Petersburg carrying thousands of tonnes of raw alumina for the war machine. There’s corruption everywhere. Locals tell me politicians are bought by oligarchs. Ireland is no longer militarily neutral.

I no longer understand the so-called civilized world. Another massive russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine. 🛑 Kyiv: 4 killed, 50 injured, including 3 children. 🛑 Dnipro: 6 killed, including a rescuer, 36 injured. Where is the world's outrage?
Another brutal night. No photo can truly convey the horror, chaos, and devastation. But this is what russia's terror looked like tonight.

After every Russian escalation into a NATO country we hear leaders repeating the mantra "We stand with..." But we could do much more than standing around. For example — we could create a European-Ukrainian defense union. Fund it with confiscated Russian frozen assets. Close the skies in Ukraine, making Ukraine and other frontline states safer. These things are very possible and this work could start today. Instead, I am sadly reminded of how Britain and France “stood with” Poland in 1939 while that country was being dismembered. It was called the Phony War, because mere declarations of “support” mean very little on the ground, and do nothing to prevent real war. Actions always speak louder than words, and usually cost much less than inaction.

With every Russian attack, Europe should respond with sanctions, with more military aid to Ukraine, with, at the very least, helping shoot down these drones over Ukraine. Instead, they call them unacceptable while demonstrating the opposite.
