Can’t say enough good things about @Shentel who came to Franklin County and Rocky Mount, VA way back in 2010. Before Shentel cable and internet service was customer support was poor and other companies came and went by the year. Shentel assured us at @Cable12TV & the community that they’d be committed to the community. And here we are nearly 15 years later and they’re still here and have expanded their footprint across many SWVA and south Central Virginia cable systems. We met the president In Edinburg VA. (Shenandoah Valley / “Shen” in the name). As many who use their internet 🛜 for your home and try watching Live TV through @Hulu there is a IP glitch of sorts that makes Hulu think you’ve moved. Yesterday my mom was in tears bc of the frustration but I simply called 1-800-SHENTEL and the nicest gentleman assured me they had a fix - a work-around to the Hulu “seems like you moved” error. Within 30 seconds the equivalent to a patch of sorts for the IP that Hulu reads was added to my mom’s account. And that fixed it! So if you’ve been having the same issue, just call Shentel’s number and have your address and name on the account ready: I don’t think we even needed our account number but it wouldn’t hurt to have it on hand. I was amazed at the friendly and fast professional service that fixed the issue. I explained my experience with working at the Redwood head-end campus as the local “PEG” station for Franklin Co. and I asked where he was, right up the road in Campbell County/Lynchburg so you really do get a neighbor when you call! He said he’s worked with various tv and internet providers and he had to say Shentel impressed them with their neighborly friendliness and commitment to ensuring the best possible costumer experience and employee experience as well. As part of the local community channel PEG station I look forward to seeing some new possibilities as we move forward together. In a landscape where weather channels show less weather, I see potential in a weather channel within the Shentel areas in the years to come on tv and online. Stay tuned!
