Today my Math Lab students made beadwork earrings. Before this we did a lesson on Rigid Transformations in Native American beadwork and a lesson on the history of beadwork. Here are some pictures of their work today.

At a high school homecoming game. During the anthem 4 senior football players helped bring out flags of the 7 tribal nations behind the American Flag. Now it’s halftime and the homecoming queen is marching in a pink dress because she’s also head of the drum corps.

District wide convocation to start the school year. 2 hours of sitting in the bleachers of a gym resulted in some mi or back spasms for me for the rest of the day. I guess I might have to start the year on either “injured reserve” or “physically unable to perform” list 😉

My daughter is doing a project where she builds the model of an atom. I decided to try it in @Desmos 3D calculator. Still need to animate the electrons and figure out how to make the electron shell a transparent 3D instead of 2D. desmos.com/3d/757632951c
