人は追い詰められると反省できません。
まず自分を守ろうとします。
言い訳をする。
黙り込む。
心を閉ざす。
最後には、その場から逃げることしか考えられなくなります。
だから弘法大師は、
人の中にもともと智慧が具わっていると説かれました。
失敗した人に必要なのは、
さらに追い込まれることではありません。
「あなたならやり直せる」
「次はこうしてみよう」
そう言われた時、
閉ざされていた心の中の智慧が再び動き始めます。
叱ることは大切です。
しかし人格を否定し、
人前で恥をかかせ、
過去の失敗まで責め続ければ、
相手に残るのは反省ではなく恨みです。
人を育てるとは、
失敗を責め続けることではありません。
何度転んでも戻ってこられる場所を残してあげることです。
なぜなら弘法大師の教えでは、
人は本来、仏の智慧を具えた存在だからです。
その智慧が再び働き出した時、
人は自ら立ち上がり、
自ら成長していくのです。
弘法大師の『即身成仏義』の立場から言えば、
「人を育てるとは、相手の中に元々ある仏の智慧を信じること」
と言えるのかもしれません。

「懺悔、懺悔、六根清浄（さんげ さんげ ろっこんしょうじょう）」
修験道の行者たちが山を歩くときや滝行の際に唱える言葉、山念仏です。
「懺悔」は自らの未熟さを認めること。
「六根清浄」は、目・耳・鼻・舌・身体・心を清めること。
山道に響く先達の声。
仲間とともに歩き、自然と向き合い、自らを見つめ直す。

宗教や信仰を含むオカルト実践で、最近はこう、『正しい』『正しくない』を自分で決めて、それを他人に受け入れさせようとする傾向がある気がして。それ自体は、布教や教化としては間違った行為だとはいえないけど。
例えば、甘いお菓子があって、これをもっと甘くするにはどうすればよいかとなったとき、
砂糖やシロップをかけてさらに甘みを上乗せさせる方法と、
逆に塩などを加えることによって相対的に甘みをハッキリさせる方法の、
２つのやり方があって。
やり方は真逆であり、その理屈もぜんぜん違うけど、同じ結果を出すことはできるのだから、どちらかが正しいとは言えないわけで。
そういう意味では、自分の学んだもの、自分の実践方法と異なることをやっているからといって、それを『正しくない』『効果がない』と、考えもなく一方的に批判的否定的に言ってしまうのも、あんまりよくないのではないかなぁと思ったり。

荼吉尼天との習合面白いな
一度実物を見てみたいものだ
最近玉藻の前に関する本を読んで知ったけど、九尾の狐って最終的には仏教に教化されて改心したんだね
荼吉尼天も元々インドで人喰いの悪鬼だったのが
帝釈天から諭されて仏道に帰依したという過去があるので、そこら辺の共通点もあるのかもね
九尾の狐に乗った荼枳尼天の仏像も存在する。
玉藻の前のイメージが強すぎて、日本では恐ろし気なイメージが強い。
漫画でも水木先生に始まり、「うしおととら」や「ぬらりひょんの孫」等のマンガでも恐ろし気な役で登場し、猛烈な悪神の扱いである。
しかし九尾の狐は、もともとは瑞獣で、非常に縁起の良い霊獣だったのである。
江戸の漢学に通じた作家達は、すでにそのことを知っており、名誉回復すら試みた。
ただ、祟りを成す恐ろしい神ほど、ご利益も強いに違いないと考えるのが日本人である。
九尾の狐を祀る寺社は、探すと他にあるのかもしれない。
（私的には、なぜ瑞獣が恐ろし気な悪神にされたのか？ その理由に興味を惹かれる）
