Grateful for the opportunity to speak at the Banner Leadership Conference in Lexington, South Carolina.
Being in a room with students willing to be open, honest, and vulnerable about adversity and life’s hardships was powerful. Watching them engage, reflect, and grow reminded me why these moments matter.
We talked about overcoming challenges and the importance of understanding that sports are not who you are, but what you do. Your identity has to be built on something deeper than the game.
Humbled by the experience and inspired by the next generation of leaders.

Young female coaches. We need more of you! On the sidelines & in the gym. We/You are more than a recruiter. Don’t let anyone tell you your collegiate playing experience isn’t meaningful. Work hard, pay your dues & then claim your space on the hardwood.

I feel for everyone in this transfer portal era. Coaches, players, fans.IMO it’s just terrible. Almost no chance of building a culture, zero loyalty, no one can trust anything anyone says. Terrible for sports.. it’s brutal to watch this take place each year in our sport

I think Texas Tech is so good for our sport for many reasons...
Its not the cookie cutter bluff we are usually drowned with. They force you to see a different way to win, lead, fight, and play.
Kids & consumers dont need to be fed these fanatical stories all the time
