It looks like 15 or 18 out of 26, or 58-69% of Ecuador's World Cup squad is black. Ecuador is only about 13% African in genetic ancestry, but I assume most of that is distributed at low levels throughout the population, and the proportion that is actually "black" is much lower.

No excuses for our higher rate, but stuff like "50x" comes from adjusting for the smaller Black population and then NOT adjusting for the larger white pool of potential targets (i.e., USA is 12% Black as vs 76% Caucasian, 61% Anglo).
If there were 50 TIMES as many B-on-W as W-on-B murders, which is obviously what this sort of stuff implies to non stats-pros, there would be 13,000 annually.

Where are all of the white liberals rushing to Karmelo Anthony's defense? Compared to previous interracial killings – Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, George Floyd – the only people defending Karmelo are black. It's one of the most racially polarizing incidents in recent memory.
