Reposting again, since I'm getting some questions for what to buy. x.com/ShireFPS/status/186249…

Okay, Black Friday is here! Mousepad Guide (my top picks) for Black Friday (and where!) @AddiceInc - Tiger Tang Dao SR - Compression rate of mid level poron, but depth of a soft poron pad, with a slightly faster zero-type surface. - Tang Dao (Any) - Speed Guide for them (Fastest to slowest): Tang Dao SR -> Tang Dao X -> Tang Dao Chi Yu -> Shan Hai Tang Dao - Tiger Blaze V3 - One of my absolute favorite pads, this pad has good plushness and can be quite pressure sensitive. It goes from absolute brr with glass skates to somewhat more balanced feeling with PTFE. With Obsidians / Obsidian Pro / SixtySix it can become quite controlled even. The benefit here is that it's dye subbed, so the cordura surface is smoother as a result of the curing process. The base is also reasonably plush to offer the massive range of speed you can coax out of it. As with all cordura, there is some texturing. This is by all accounts the most premium cordura pad currently offered anywhere. - Tiger Shan Hai Chuan Yun - Fairly plush, 0-texture speed surface. This could be easily compared to a Raiden, but with less texture and in some ways, more speed. The other apt comparison would be a faster Energon. - Tiger Chengying - Resin surface, slightly slower kinetic than glass, but pairs very well with obsidian skates and has extremely consistent feeling kinetic to static. - Tiger Grandmaster Pink Stitch - Natural Rubber base, and fairly older but an absolute classic for a a pad with great range and incredible pressure sensitivity, with an extremely light touch it can be very fast, but with increasing pressure it'll slow down substantially. Very little texture felt during glide, but does have some. - Tiger EBA - This surface is very similar to the late Dechanic control and is highly textured, pressure sensitive natural rubber base and a balanced speed feel. - Tiger Wujie - Firmer base, closer to the Tang dao SR in terms of speed (slightly quicker) with very faint texture (think Zero) - Tiger Shan Hai Kun Lun - Plush poron base, the surface reminds me a lot of the grand master pink stitch, with a bit finer of a weave. It balanced something more similar to a Hien in speed, but is not abrasive. I don't hear this pad talked about a ton, but those who own it usually like it, myself included. It's probably my second favorite pad in the Shan Hai line, behind the Tang Dao and ahead of the Chuan Yun. - Tiger HeTu - This is a wild pad, with a somewhat plush base, but not really felt very well due to the firmness of the surface. The speed is what I'd call quick, though not entirely fast. This is essentially what happens when a Razer Strider and an Artisan Shidenkai have a baby. It's a glass coated, very rough jacquard pad. In most cases, you will feel the texture in your glide. - Tiger Lotus (Pink Label) - This is an extremely smooth surface glass pad that compares well to pads like the Glsswrks Kazemi, Razer Atlas, etc. This is much smoother feeling than the SP004 (I know this will get asked). Comes with full silicon base. Note: Pink label is specifically the version with the pink text, the pad color itself is not the identifier. -Tiger Lotus (Black Label) - This is a slightly more balanced version, which still glides very smooth. I'd compare this more to the Wallhack SP004 and Pulsar SuperGlide 2 by way of glide. Comes with full silicon base. Note: Black label is the Ombre colorway, Pink pad with black text and AGL variant, the pad color itself is not the identifier.

New Arrivals: from @XraypadOfficial I appreciate them sending these out to test. I'll add a follow up post later this afternoon on some impressions, comparisons and opinions with these mousepads. Included is the new HeavyBee Redtail which is a new base and slightly speedier feeling HeavyBee, due to be released. Along with: - AquaControl Pro Neon in mid - HeavyBee Soft - Origin Pro - Origin Pro Cerebus *Sidenote, this again makes my Xraypad collection whole, as I had their full product stack less these stragglers which for some reason kept getting cancelled on Aliexpress when ordering.

Just going to leave this one here, and I don't say this because I dislike the QCK Speed, but assessing the surface. @SteelSeries

A little late for this post, but I had one of the first @Padsmiths Empress V2 Speed. I did post a few spoilers for friction, but here's the full breakout of The Beast vs The Empress V2 Speed. It is officially the fastest glass mousepad. Full review incoming.

(Mostly) finished with the made 68 ultra. Side Panels swapped to frosted acrylic white sides. Plate swapped for a PC plate with poron plate foam. Lubed the factory bone dry stabs with BDZ while completing the plate swap. Current switches are Geon Lucifer (Kinetic Labs GS2) with Wooting 70g springs (gpl105) Caps are SA DMK WOB / CMYK accents. I did pickup the POM plate as well but am equally fond of PC, acrylic and POM plates. I have more switches I may roll through and try out, but I am not hating the Lucifers. Does this feel like one of my mechanical customs? Yeah, it finally feels good to use and sounds consistent. Being a huge Gateron Ink Black fan, this is a lot closer than most HE builds to something like my LimboKeys custom Discipline build.

The Whale announced LaOnda is releasing the first mousepad without stitching. Here's my Great Cold Blue Blood II that I've had for over a year now. It's a good pad with what I would describe as a quicker-balanced surface. What will the whale invent next? The first mousepad with a natural rubber base? I can only hope!

New Arrival / truncated unboxing: Esport Tiger Pioneer Wuxiang Initial thoughts: This is not your typical Wuxiang, it has a micro textured surface and with the Slimflex base feels like a pretty different pad. The surface pays homage to the Glide38 origins of this surface moreso than an Amp500, and maybe in some ways of their own Chengying, in the texturing. The base can be felt through the surface as well. I'd very much like to use this pad more as it is both fast, smooth and offers pretty good downward travel due to the depth of the base, though with just enough resistance to not have a perpetual sinking feeling, opening up the possibility to slow the surface by applying pressure but being firm enough to give a distinct impression of friction control. Slow pads benefit some here to get even slower but speed pads are very interesting as they provide a significantly greater range. The former is often one of the most relevant metrics to me: is the mousepad one that I want to keep using? If interested, feel free to use code ShireFPS on Addice for an additional discount. @esp_tiger @AddiceInc

New Arrival / Unboxing: Lethal Gaming Gear x Pulsar Hyperion Firm Initial impressions: This feels a bit more textured than the soft, but still remains a lot smoother of a surface than an Artisan Zero mid. The speed feels a bit slower than a Zero mid, but I have also not fully explored skate combinations. If I had to guess, this may perform poorly with glass and very well with Corepad Air. Thus far, I've only used it with my HTX mini which has X-ray pads Jade air dots on it. @PulsarGears @LethalGamingGr

Friction testing update: Software is finished to gain 100% accuracy over inclined plane testing. How does this work? It reads mouse raw input and provides an exportable CSV which is timestamped to the 1000th's of an interval. Polling is adjustable. This can be compared to an export from my inclinometer so there's no visual assessment, from screen recording or otherwise. This software I had written purposely for static friction testing.

New Arrival / Unboxing: Kurosun Shogun. Initial thoughts: With Jade Pro's on my HTX mini, this is quicker than I anticipated it might be. It does seem to slow some with the crazylight with OEM skates and edges on where I'd be uncomfortable with the kinetic friction. @LethalGamingGr @KurosunCo
