10 June: The Ditch publishes a story on an unreleased report showing child patients are forced to wait significantly longer than private patients at Children's Health Ireland facilities 11 June: Paul Murphy raises the story in the Dáil, saying, "That’s pretty much across the board in terms of a massive discrepancy of waiting time in public versus waiting time for private" 15 June: The HSE is forced to publish the report – which it had refused to do before The Ditch story and Murphy's intervention – and RTÉ's Fergal Bowers covers it. "The HSE added that the review does not identify evidence of inequity in access to care and this is important," he wrote. An RTÉ radio segment with Bowers questions previous interpretations of the leaked report The report itself:

The HSE had to publish this because of The Ditch report that said it 'exposed hospital consultants prioritising private child patients over those on public lists' RTÉ: 'The review published by the HSE found no evidence of inequity in access between public and private patients.'

The HSE, Children’s Health Ireland, the state: all have refused or failed to publish the report. Here it is. An internal audit exposing how child patients on public lists are forced to wait for vital surgery – those with private health insurance don't. ontheditch.com/the-unpublish…

Elon Musk has become the world's first trillionaire. To put that into perspective, he could now build four bike sheds and still have enough money left for a round of drinks in Temple Bar.

The match – for now – will go ahead at a neutral venue. The campaign against it continues. Israel shouldn’t be treated as a normal nation, least of all by one that intervened at the ICJ in support of a case accusing it of genocide. ontheditch.com/comment-the-p…

That report should be sending off massive alarm bells. Based on the numbers in it, Blackrock Clinic likely earned around €4million last year. Meanwhile children whose families don’t have the ability to pay or without health insurance are left to suffer and slowly deteriorate. Not only that though, prioritising private children is an ableist act. The complex children often cannot receive treatment in the private system regardless of if they can cover the cost. Harvey had fantastic health insurance, but for him he had to be treated in the public system. This is discrimination. This is ableism. This is systemic neglect.

Every year around six million children 1-5yrs, die of malnutrition. Mostly confined to sub-Saharan Africa. Children in Ireland must travel abroad for surgeries, if they can get them. The A&E at Beaumont Hospital was extended with a tent/marquee that is still in situ.... Gross!

One of the most beautiful moments before Spain vs Peru pre-World Cup did not come from a goal, a tackle or a piece of skill. 🇪🇸 v 🇵🇪 💘 It came from kindness. As the players walked onto the pitch, Peruvian defender Fabio Gruber noticed that the young boy with Down syndrome accompanying him was feeling cold in the stadium. Without hesitation, he removed his own jacket and gently placed it over the boy’s shoulders. In that simple act, football showed its heart. Moments like this are why the world loves football. As we head towards the 2026 World Cup, may we see more of this spirit on and off the pitch. #FIFAWorldCup #fwc2026 ⚽❤️

A reminder from just six months ago. While Zionist claim that opposing Zionism is antisemitic, tens of thousands of Orthodox Jews gathered in New York to publicly reject Zionism and declare that it does not represent Judaism. A perspective the media rarely highlights. Source @authenttorahjew @TorahJudaism
