People ask what tools I use for streaming, so here's the stack that's made the biggest difference for me:
1. StreamerBot:
The Swiss Army knife of streaming. I use it to automate stream events, control OBS, connect platforms together, create viewer interactions, and generally make my stream do things most people don't realize are possible.
2. Tawmae:
One of my favorite StreamerBot developers. They make a ton of useful plugins and tools, and their Marathon Multi Tool has been especially useful for my streams.
3. Shoost:
A powerful compositing and post-processing tool that lets me layer effects, videos, images, Spout sources, window captures, and more in ways that would be difficult to pull off in OBS alone.
4. Pixel Talk
A lightweight subtitle tool that gives me fast, highly customizable live captions. You can add custom corrections, emoji triggers, sound effects, and visual styling to match your stream.
5. StreamAvatars
Turns chat into a game. Viewers get their own pixel avatar on stream, complete with chat bubbles, mini-games, and interactive events.
6. VTS-POG
Lets me add reactive characters and mascots to my stream that can respond to TTS, alerts, and other events through VTube Studio integrations.
7. Spout2
One of the best ways to move video sources between applications locally with minimal performance impact. I use it heavily between VTube Studio, OBS, and Shoost.
These are the tools I keep coming back to after years of streaming. Most of my stream's interactions, automation, and visual effects are built around them.
