I've started working with a new band after being bullied out of the old one. I was talking to the lady who invited me about how I'm not interested in studying music and she asked me "If you had other options, would you be doing this?" I can't stop thinking about it.

I like band people, they're creative and (usually) smart. I dont have the patience to learn an instrument. Id like to sing but my voice is bad. But I'm never gonna be a band member. I'll be an outsider. But I've always been othered no matter where I go. I don't belong anywhere.

The insane over-romanticizing of teen years is such a horrible thing in our culture. Tons of people who aren’t even 20 feeling like they already missed out on life just cause they didn’t live some boomer dream fantasy during *4 YEARS* of their decades long life.
