Day 6 at Royal North Devon in Westward Ho!, England
Founded in 1864 and looks every bit of it. You could spend an hour wandering around the clubhouse, which is basically a museum.
I loved every second of this course. Old, “flat” but mounds everywhere, people walking, sheep, horses, dogs, 380 (!!!) yard drive with the wind and 220 into it. Proper links.
My caddy was the club president. Of course, I have no cash to pay him, so he has me put some money towards his club bar tab.
Lost my individual match by 1 to an objectively better golfer with a bad swing on 17. Had a chance to halve it on 18 and missed, but I’ll take it.
