Unless you know this 100%, don’t say he “100%” forgot to change it out or even was responsible to have to be the one to do this. You don’t know and you 1000% are setting anything straight other than facilitating more potentially false narratives.
Happy for his success but here to put the “wristband debacle” to bed as someone who has been in this position on a number of teams.
As a QB you are given the cards to put into your wristband and they change every single day from Wednesday practice, all the way to Sunday’s game. MINOR tweaks are made and updated. On the day of the game, the new wristband sheets are paper clipped together and sitting in your locker on game day. Shedeur almost 100% guarantee forgot to change the cards out from the old ones. Hence why they were able to get through a quarter of football without realizing they were wrong. Because MINOR tweaks are made and they happened to come across one eventually.
I have made this mistake for a day of practice before. Not uncommon. The narrative that Stefanski purposely sent Shedeur out there with the wrong wristband is laughable.
They aren’t going to take the time to explain to the media a minor mix up, so I’ll set the record straight.
