Just published meta-analysis (open access): Morphology instruction is effective for improving reading and spelling outcomes, and spelling effects can transfer to untrained words – but we still need to learn more about why it works and how best to teach it doi.org/10.1007/s10648-024-0…

Excited & grateful to share that my @arc_gov_au #DECRA application was successful. I’ll be spending the next 3 years working out how children adjust their mispronunciations as they learn to read new words. Huge thanks to my collaborators and mentors #DE25 @Adv_Literacy @ACUmedia

Check out a new publication from ACAL's @RigobonReads and @TheFCRR colleagues. This study examines US college students’ spelling of irregular words in English and what their (in)accuracy can tell us about the nature of word forms stored in memory.
🚨New article!🚨 Rigobon et al. investigated the Lexical quality (LQ) hypothesis. Results suggest that one's ability to form a lexical representation depends on a complex combination of different person, word and item specific interactions. Read here: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…
