Canadian student Abhay Singh Sachal has made history as the first Sikh recipient of the Walking Softer Young Leader Award for 2024-25.
At 22, Abhay’s organization, Break The Divide, addresses climate justice, eco-anxiety, mental health, and spirituality, empowering youth worldwide.
This prestigious award includes a $75,000 grant and is given to only 12 global leaders committed to environmental conservation. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Psychology at the University of Regina, Abhay also advises on the Environment and Climate Change Canada Youth Council.
His leadership continues to inspire action and resilience in addressing the climate crisis.
