I mean, we all have a different style. My goal has always been to be as honest as possible and provide context behind our decisions and process. Not to say "we're right" but to at least explain it. I'm not sure it's worked. But maybe!
I’m gonna miss ur “real” and honest convos 🥺. You’re the only Guru that I’ve known since I’ve been playing sims. I understand tho.. who else is gonna keep us in check tho?
Plus, as I said, I'm still at Maxis, and as far as we can tell, this is still a great way to communicate with folks. By not deleting it, we (or I, eventually) can use this feed to communicate.
Hi Simmers - Been thinking long and hard, and like many people, I'm trying to dramatically curtail my social media use and consumption. Both personal, and professional. That means this afternoon I'm giving this account to @SimGuruLyndsay for safe keeping. 1/
This feed will still exist and I'll still be at Maxis. I'm just trying to change how I use these platforms. It's likely in the future I'll need to say something, and when that's the case Lyndsay can send me a password. Until then, it's been a pleasure.
I think more accurately though, is that many of us know how important architecture and design is to many of YOU, and that means we need to appreciate it and empower the right people to implement it.
I am interested in beautiful things and interesting people. I also love houses...largely in part due to where I live (so many pretty, distinct homes). I also have a very strong affection FOR my home...it's so important to my happiness.
I know baby hairs was a request from the community and I'm so happy that we were able to deliver on that. I'm very excited about the future of #TheSims4. 😉
I don't normally recommend TV shows, but we watched the first two episodes of "Home" on Apple TV last night and it was really wonderful. Beautiful and focuses on unique homes, the people, and stories around them. tv.apple.com/us/show/home/um…
Episode 2 is about an artist/entrepreneur renovating dilapidated and abandoned buildings in a neighborhood that has experienced racism, crime, economic abandonment, and is an inspiring way to revitalize something assumed beyond repair.
