My thoughts go to the individual victims of crime, for justice, and preventing it again. Widespread violent rioting targetting those with a different coloured skin, the police, and anyone who disagrees, is an attack on our whole community. Racist thugs have no answers.

The decline in oil and gas jobs has been going on for well over a decade, and at the same time we have had the empty rhetoric of Just Transition. The private sector has failed to develop new green industries and jobs, and there is a crying need for the state to now step in.

Tens if not hundreds of thousands of oil and gas workers lost their jobs in the decade after the 2014 price crash while the Tories were in power. These skilled workers were discarded, not planned for and often left Scotland to work abroad. We have all lost out as a result.
